You&#39;ll have the opportunity to marvel at the lake&#39;s ever-changing pink hues, which range from bright pink to pale pink, purple, lilac, silver, and even reflect the sky. During summer, the lake dries out to form a salt lake that&#39;s still pink but much lighter in colour. In contrast, the lake refills after heavy rains or in winter.&nbsp;

Learn about the history of the nearby 1800s fishing village and the reason behind the lake&#39;s pink colour. Take in the stunning beach and surrounding areas. Then, climb the massive sand dunes for an incredible view over the Hutt Lagoon.&nbsp;

On the way back, traverse existing tracks through the dunes while admiring the local flora and to try and look out&nbsp;for kangaroos, lizards, and birdlife.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Finally, head to the lake&#39;s shores to capture some great photos and perhaps spot dolphins or whales (depending on the season). This unique experience is not to be missed, so bring your cameras and smiles!
